Dissidente
2025
Quartet with António Quintino, Alexandre Frazão, Helena Espvall
A handful of songs, places, and life stories – sometimes darker, other times brighter, some more rhythmic, others more jazzy – always with one foot in Lisbon and the other beyond. Where the way I played guitar in the past meets the way I play today! My music has always been a powerful means of dissent for me, capable of transforming personal feelings into forms of fulfillment and protest. Being myself in the world with my guitar!

Popular Jaguar

Electric Guitar
He was mean like a rattlesnake
And she would embrace him with compassion
She was still unemployed from love
And he protected her like a popular jaguar.
And she would embrace him with compassion
She was still unemployed from love
And he protected her like a popular jaguar.

Guitarra Makaka
Danças a um Deus Desconhecido
2015
Resonator and Classical Guitar
Near the lagoon, amidst flowers and fruit, the apes have become men who play guitar, makaka guitars forged by ancestral rhythms. The sound leads them to dance holding hands with beautiful women, dark, pale, who travelled here from the other side of the mountain, casting aside all of the isle’s ancient wisdom, gods, rules and letting themselves be carried away by that primeval, distant, sweeping repetition. Dance! Dance! Until you lose yourself! ... For all we do not know!

Classical Guitar and percussion
A large mountain stood on the horizon, cutting into the big blue sky. An old man pointed me the road going in that direction and told me in a hoarse voice:
“When you reach the top of that mountain, you find a large valley.
Someone will come to meet you and take you forever”.
I walked in that direction for many moons and at the end of that long path, i saw her, waiting. A beautiful woman, sitting at a roadside café with the most relaxed expression on her face.
